Together, Jamie and Katie, both graduates of the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), continue the family tradition of excellence and innovation.

Jamie comes from a long line of jewelry artisans. His great-grandfather was a watch and jewelry craftsman, and his grandfather, a world-renowned watchmaker, founded Harold Jaffe Jewelers, the premier jewelry destination in Toledo, Ohio. Jamie’s father, Jeff, retired and relocated to Atlanta after a lifetime serving at the helm of HJJ. Jamie’s passion for helping people find their perfect piece of jewelry is deeply rooted in this legacy. A skilled designer, he delights in the creative challenge of transforming vintage jewelry into newly adored pieces. With over two decades of expertise in diamonds and jewelry, Jamie honed his craft alongside his mentor, Lazer Wolf, one of the world’s most respected diamond cutters.

Katie comes from a long line of entrepreneurs, which has prepared her for the many hats she wears at Brilliant! From filling the jewelry cases with unique and wearable jewelry in every price point, to building relationships with clients, mastering software systems, jewelry photography, social media, and special orders, Katie is truly a lifelong learner and is grateful to have the opportunity to learn something new every day. Katie is a native New Jerseyan, a graduate of Emory University, and Bank Street College of Education.
